HIGH EMOTION (13) worked hard from a wide draw to settle just off the pace before pulling away to win by more than a length over 1400m at Arawa Park nearly 3 weeks ago. She has yet to run a bad race, and despite copping another wide draw, she should be competitive again. UP THE ANTI (5) has changed stables since finishing seventh over 1600m at Ellerslie six weeks ago. He looked much better when finishing runner-up at a recent Taupo trial, and a form reversal is on the cards. WHAT A YARN (3) is a lightly tried 6-year-old gelding who won fresh up, and then raced handy throughout when finishing second over 1500m here last time out. His stable is in red-hot form, and he will be right in the finish again. ALTARI (15) hasn’t raced since finishing fifth over 1600m at Ruakaka in late June last season. He is a lot stronger this season, and with the advantage of the pole position, he has each-way claims. PUKANA (1) finished strongly for third here last time out. Stick with him.
