Randwick

Not a great deal of depth to this maiden. MOVIE NIGHT (7) has been in commission at both runs to date but hasn't delivered as hoped. Got back and met with a bit of bother when safely held on the main track here last start. Suspect she has a lot more to offer and the application of blinkers today might be the key. EXPLICIT (3) found the line well first-up at Newcastle then was eased out of the race after copping interference last time out at Randwick. Has trialled well since and this looks a nice race to get back on track. SAYTARA (8) showed plenty of dash when resuming over 1200m at Canterbury recently but folded late. On trial at this trip but trust Gai and Adrian's placement. SKIRMISH (9) was ridden close to the speed and produced a better effort last start at the Beaumont circuit. Fitter for two runs back and should be competitive. PORTOFINO (4) returned with an eye-catcher at Canterbury last time. Hard to beat over an extra furlong second-up.
