DON'T TELL THE MRS (5) was not beaten far in a stronger field at Ellerslie just over 6 weeks ago, and the gap between runs will do him no harm as he drops from a mile to 1400m. His first couple of starts were full of merit, and he can take this out. FINAL APPLAUSE (6) was beaten on debut when sent out as the favourite. He was taken on in front that day and was still less than 2 lengths from the winner. He will naturally improve with the experience and is worth another chance. YOUNG JACKSON (4) has improved in each of his trials and will make his debut from the in-form James/Wellwood stable. With some luck from a wide gate, he can figure in the finish. Check the markets. HORRIE (1) was beaten by a promising type at Te Aroha 3 weeks ago, when finishing runner-up off a wide gate. He has a superior draw here and is overdue to break through for his first win. CHILLING OUT (12) ran on boldly for third despite racing greenly on debut at Arawa Park 12 days ago. Each-way claims in this.
