A most intriguing renewal with IL ETAIT TEMPS taken to cement his position at the top of the 2m chase tree with April's C&D beating of Jonbon just about the best form on offer. The Henderson inmate has lost some of his lustre in recent times but cheekpieces are on and sure to strip fitter for Cheltenham and away from heavy ground, he may be up to reversing Scholer Chase form with L'eau du Sud, who was hard fit for that assignment.

Successful 3 times in Grade 1 company and third in the Arkle as a novice but took his form up another notch when lowering the colours of Jonbon in the Celebration Chase over C&D in April. Completed a simple task in effortless fashion on reappearance (20.8f) and that will have teed him up nicely.

Quick to make his mark over fences last term and completed a four-timer in Grade 2 Kingmaker at Warwick in February. Form levelled off in Graded company after but he made a sparkling start to his second season chasing when a 15-length winner of the Schloer Chase.

Top-class and consistent chaser who win this race for the fourth time a year ago. Unlike the previous 2 campaigns, though, he didn't win the Shloer Chase on reappearance at Cheltenham (heavy) and while he'll come on for that, Il Etait Temps beat him over C&D in April. Cheekpieces now on.

Smart chaser who scored at Cheltenham on his return last term and was running well when falling 3 out in Queen Mother Champion Chase. Fences again got in his way on reappearance, on the back foot after an early mistake and unseated rider sixth in the Schloer Chase.

Prone to mistakes over fences but he's established as a smart sort, winning back-to-back Ascot handicaps in 2023/24. Lightly raced in recent times and doesn't look up to this level.
