METAL MAN (4) opened this prep with a strong third over 1000m at the Gold Coast. Played up pre-race and was keen in the run so his flop in the Group 3 Vo Rogue last start should be forgotten. Poorly drawn but with any luck he is good enough to take care of these. FABULANTES (2) was there on the corner but weakened out of contention in the Listed Gold Edition last time out. Given a five-week reset and won't find this as tough so he is in the right race to bounce back to form. FINANCIALLY FAMOUS (6) stalked the pace then went home a little too well in a Class 1 over 1110m at Doomben last weekend. Far tougher ask this time around but she is obviously going well so stick with her. READY FOR AIMEE (10) continues to race well deep into her maiden prep. Caught the eye when beaten under a length over this trip at Doomben last time. Each-way hope on the limit from a favourable draw. THE BEAR (1) tired at the end of 1300m here last time but is far better placed back to this trip.

When well in the market at debut, came from midfield; 2nd of 12 at this track Mdn on December 26 over 1000m, on a slow track; 4 len behind Jimmy's Brother carrying 56.5kg at $3.50. Second-up favourite; won by 1.4 len at this track Mdn January 11 over 1200m defeating Abraham carrying 56kg at $1.70. This is a huge class rise - exotics only.- 2. Fabulantes

VerdictSecond-up. Won on debut as favourite; won by 0.7 len at Coffs Harbour Super Mdn August 1 over 1000m on a soft track defeating Jasira carrying 53kg at $3.60. Returned from break 4th of 9 at Lismore Cl1 on January 4 over 1120m, 1.5 len behind Bring Me Saki with 53.5kg at $1.90. Lightly raced filly - this might have come too soon for her.- 8. VerdictChasing a hat-trick. Comes here off a 29-day let-up. Last start favourite; ran on from midfield and won by a head at this track Cl1 December 26 over 1000m on a rain affected track defeating Time Of My Life with 56.5kg at $2.50. The race before that favourite; raced right near the speed and boxed on; won by 4.5 len at this track F&M Mdn-Sw November 28 over 1000m on a soft track defeating Khoirgirl with 56.5kg at $7.50. In career-best form and looks an each-way hope.
