ZORMELLA (5) has been a touch disappointing in her last couple of runs when being well found in the market. She battled on bravely for fourth at Matamata last time out when being tried in front. She will be ridden more quietly this time, and she did win her only start on this track over a mile. She is running out of chances, but is still the one to beat for us in this field. TREGOR (1) is a progressive gelding who has done most of his racing in an anti-clockwise direction. He might need the run, but his stable is running hot, and he can't be taken lightly. Include. DESERT MYSTIC (3) ran on too late when resuming over 1500m at Te Rapa 3 weeks ago. He has only been lightly tried for a 6-year-old gelding, and is good enough to win this. JUNGLE LOVE (12) has won both of her races to date at New Plymouth. She has trialled in a clockwise direction, and she will take some pegging back again. ON THE TOWN (7) needed his last start at Te Rapa, and on a good track, he can figure in the top 3.
