Tough race with many of these freshly off maiden wins. RUSCELLO (7) broke through last time over a mile when dropping back in journey but proving too strong. Has run well over further so won't be bothered by the extra ground here. Can follow it up. SURFY PETE (3) had been racing over sprint journeys but went straight to a mile last time and settled back but powered home to score. Settled well and picked up strongly so shouldn't be fazed by the extra trip. Can go on with it. STAR OF ROSSA (12) is another coming off a maiden win last time. At peak now after four runs in and has drawn the inside here. Expecting another good run. MANHATTAN MABS (10) is yet another off the mark latest. That was just second run from a spell and looks to have good upside. EDDYSTONE (2) was well off best with the big weight last time over 2000m. Was close up over this sort of journey the start prior and gets chance to atone.
