MUSTANG MORGAN (1) is an ex-Australian gelding who finished 4 lengths back in sixth when resuming 2 weeks ago over 1400m at Pukekohe. He will relish the extra furlong, and even though he wants more ground already, he can take this out. Especially on a good track. OUR GIULIA (5) came close last run, finishing just a head away in second over 1650m at Waverley. She is a lot stronger this season and can go one better in this. LEICA PEARL (9) made an immediate impact, winning on debut over 1400m at Waipukurau three weeks ago. She beat a couple of handy types that day, and she has the scope to go right on with the job now. POUKAWA (3) impressed two starts back but missed the frame as the favourite last time out over 1400m at Waipukurau. He has not missed a cheque third-up, and should be among the hardest to beat in this. THRILLING (10) was an overdue maiden winner last start, and she is not without top 4 claims again.
