POISED (7) was narrowly beaten by a head in her penultimate start, and then tried to lead all the way at Mornington 11 days ago before being claimed late, finishing fifth. The blinkers go on for the first time, and she will still probably lead despite drawing wide. She will find this an easier assignment and can take it out. ZOUSOUTH (5) was third on debut as a late-season juvenile before failing at his next run and going for a spell. He has looked good in his 3 tune-up trials, and will be a lot stronger this season. The blinkers go on for the first time, and he will be ready to rumble fresh, especially from a good draw. PURE SILK (11) has not been too far away in each of her 2 starts to date. She has won another trial since that run just over 6 weeks ago, and can figure in the top 4 here. PRIVATEER (10) resumes from a spell with some handy jumpout form behind her, and PULL MY FINGER (2) had an excuse last time out, and is worth another chance. Include each of then in all combos.
