Cavalry Girl comes out as the short priced favourite and leaves this a bit tricky. REY MAGNERIO (1) comes through the best races with the right profile having finished a terribly unlucky third in this race last year. Don't love him at 1000m but with a straight passage he can prove too strong late. BEV'S NINE (3) was behind Cavalry Girl at Caulfield but ran well for third. That was his first loss at 1000m, expect he can bounce back. ICE KOOL (7) was heavily supported here on Cox Plate day and didn't have the best of runs. He's got talent and could improve with that experience under the belt. DON'T HOPE DO (8) was better last time splitting Cavalry Girl & Bev's Nine and will give a sight up on speed.
