Looking for this longer journey now and finds an easier race this evening. Can turn things around. OLD SONG (4) is going well including a close fourth in a BM68 over this course and distance four weeks ago. Has been in work for a while and continues to bring home cheques for connections. Solid each-way hope. CARDIOLOGIST (3) backs up six days after a plain effort over a shorter trip at Toowoomba. Draws a nice gate and is capable of a lot better. LORD PROTECTOR (9) has won just three from 37 so hard to get too excited about his prospects. Failed in open company last start but a return to a Class 4 should see him be competitive. HAZEY HILL (2) needed the hit-out last time out at Ipswich when fresh from a seven-week let-up. Expect a better run this evening.
