KIRKUK (9) probably should have won last start over 2000m at this track after taking a while to find clear galloping room. Dropping back 600m obviously sounds alarms, but his form at the trip is difficult to fault, particularly here. Beautifully in after the claim so happy to roll the dice. The promising OAKFIELD UTAH (2) is the obvious threat on the back of two comfortable wins, the latest in a BM64 at Newcastle over today's journey. Just needs luck slotting in from a tricky draw to be right in the finish again. Veteran C'MON MATE (3) caught the eye when resuming over 1200m here three weeks ago, beaten under a length following a slow start. In the money at 14 of 23 Kembla runs. However, the zero placings from five second-up runs is a downer. SPIRITUALISTIC (7) led everywhere bar where it counts over 1300m at Hawkesbury last time. Goes best with the runs spaced - sure to give a great sight. SATNESS (1) returned in fine shape last time and is a must for exotics players.
