AUTUMN RAINBOW (7) did what she had to when winning her maiden fresh up at Pakenham Synthetic 12 days ago, scoring by a short-head over 1400m. She was already looking for a middle distance that day, and the extra 400m here is ideal. She has to step straight into Listed company, but she is in an astute stable, who will not be here just for the scenery. KOSAJI (3) needed the race day experience on debut at Sale, and then was runner-up as the favourite last time out in BM66 company at Murray Bridge. He dons the blinkers for the first time, and can go one better. TIKKAMOS (1) won his maiden at Balaklava, and finished third in the same race as the second pick a fortnight ago. He will also have the blinkers on for the first time, and he is another progressive type with more to offer. CONTRARY (5) finished fourth against most of these last time out. She has less time between starts here, and is up to winning. Stick with her. CHURCHILL ROSE (6) beat a few of her rivals last start. Go again.
