HARMONIC DANCER (9) has become a bit of a bookies' pin-up this prep, starting favourite three times for three minor placings. Gave away a big start over 1200m last start and never looked like picking them up. That followed a five-week break so he can improve and a first go at 1400m looks the right way forward. KALMANA (3) was ridden with more intent last time out when second-up from a spell and battled on well to hold second at the end of 1200m. Needs this trip now and with added fitness he is a serious contender. ARCTURUS STAR (5) ran a better race when second-up recently, beaten just over two lengths over 1200m. Getting to 1400m third-up looks the ideal scenario. CAUSEWELUVADELAIDE (10) was a shade disappointing last Sunday over this trip at Naracoorte after looking to have every chance. That run might have been the top up required to get her to peak form at the fourth run in. CODENAME (1) gets beyond 1200m for the first time. Should be thereabouts.
