CAPTAIN HAPPY (12) came from last to get up for third in an impressive return to racing last start over 1050m. Looks ready for a first try beyond 1100m. Lightly raced four-year-old with plenty of scope for improvement. VIRTUAL ILLUSION (4) caught the eye first-up and was consequently sent around at $1.80 a fortnight ago but found one better over 1200m. Has failed at two previous third-up attempts but may have improvement to come this deep into a prep as he gets older. Can make amends. DAMPEN (13) had been racing well until a poor performance over 1200m at Morphettville three weeks ago. Drops 3kgs and goes well over this course and distance so worth another chance. FROM THE BLOCK (1) hasn't been far away in two runs since a game victory under 61.5kgs over 1200m at Murray Bridge three back. Has the quality to test this line-up. Sparingly raced five-year-old TOUGH TALK (10) returned with an encouraging second over 1200m last start and can build on that run.
