Verdict

WILUNA LASS (3) is the runner to beat after winning both starts this campaign, first beating Star Martini in a CL1 at Belmont and then holding on by a nose as favourite in a CL2 at Kalgoorlie. Coming back to 1000m looks a smart move and she can find the front from a good draw. Will be hard to catch with Taylor's claim helping. STAR MARTINI (4) is the clear danger, having finished second at her past two and already won at this track and distance. She was beaten just over a length by Wiluna Lass last time and now meets her worse at the weights, but Nottle replaces the apprentice hoop and she can stalk Wiluna Lass' every move. NATURE'S RECKONING (1) resumes after five months and brings stronger form from last campaign. No trial coming in but she can be thereabouts. MANTUA (5) backs up quickly after a close third at York, gets weight relief and is honest enough to press for a minor money finish if he repeats that effort. SO IMMACULATE (6) won't be far away coming back in trip.

Continues to race honestly, finishing second in a Class 1 at Belmont Park last start when beaten just over a length by Wiluna Lass after tracking the speed and working home evenly. Two back she was pipped at the post in a NMW1Y after beginning awkwardly as an odds-on favourite. Gets Nottle back on board today and she can go one better.

    Verdict
Chasing three straight after leading and holding on by a nose in a Class 2 over 1200m at Kalgoorlie, where she was bumped near the 200m yet still found enough as favourite. That followed a Belmont Park Class 1 win where she beat Star Martini by just over a length and controlled the race strongly. Back to 1000m now and with plenty in her favour, she can bring up the hat-trick.

    Verdict
Returns from a lengthy spell after ending last campaign 13th at Belmont Park, beaten seven and a half lengths behind Snow God after settling well back and never getting into the race. She had earlier finished second last in the Listed Sheila Gwynne (Matchmaker) Stakes at Ascot, beaten just over four lengths at long odds. Resumes without a trial, but she's drawn well and her form last campaign makes for good reading.

Backs up after a sound third in a BM44+ at York, beaten just under a length by Merchant Trader after looming and fighting on at generous odds. The run prior at this track was fair rather than sharp, with a start incident noted before he finished fifth behind Last Stylebender. Tougher here but drops in weight on the quick turnaround and looks to get his chance.

    Verdict
Returns from a lengthy spell of over a year, with a close second in a Belmont Park trial giving some sign of readiness. He was second last when last seen at Belmont Park, beaten just over four lengths and unwanted in the market. The start prior at York had more merit after he was held up in the straight. Old track-and-trip form helps, but current race form is hard to trust.

Latest run was plain, finishing second last at Bunbury over 1200m and beaten over 11 lengths after holding a narrow lead before weakening out. Her previous fifth there was better, beaten a length and a half after beginning awkwardly and being held up near the 150m. Can improve coming back in trip today.

Returns from a lengthy spell after finishing third in a Class 3 at Belmont Park, beaten three and a half lengths by Niccimota after beginning slowly and settling too far back. Her previous run saw her seventh in a Class 5, beaten just under two lengths when near the top of betting. Placed at 1000m, but the long break and top weight keep her under notice only.
