NOTEABEEL (3) looked to have a bit up the sleeve on debut with a solid victory over 900m at Corowa. Sure to have improved further in a winnable contest. DENSETSU (4) got the job done two-back, then was comfortably accounted for with the 59kg when seventh over 1100m at Bendigo, beaten 3.5 lengths. That followed a win at Echuca at the previous outing. Gets the right run and will find this more to his liking. JUSTENUFFSPLASH (7) returns from a let-up after she faded in the straight to run ninth late over 1100m at Wodonga on April 20. Fitted with the two trials and gets her chance. SHOOTING FOR STARS (8) just under a month between runs when she tired late from the wide gate to finish twelfth over 1100m at Bendigo. Goes well here and worth thought in the small field. VAINSTREAM (5) tough old gelding who retains his zest for racing. Can never be underestimated in this grade.
