Every poker player across the world is already planning a route to Barcelona next summer when the second edition of the PokerStars Players No Limit Hold’em Championship (PSPC) will mark a certain highlight on thousands of calendars.

If you haven’t already secured yourself a Platinum Pass for next August’s jamboree, you might want to think about a trip to Brazil first, the starting point of Andre Akkari’s journey to Casino Barcelona.
The Team Pro from SĂŁo Paulo wants one player to take the same route to the PSPC as him, and today PokerStars announces a special “Akkari’s Road To the PSPC” tournament, to be held at the Brazil Series of Poker Millions (BSOP) festival at the WTC Sheraton Golden Hall, Sao Paul in December.
The tournament has a buy-in of only 350 Reals, approximately US$87, but will award its winner a Platinum Pass worth approximately $30,000. That’s right: for a tournament entry of less than ninety bucks, you could earn the huge PSPC tournament buy-in, plus a six-night trip to Barcelona for you and a guest including hotel, flights, transfer and expenses.

And you’ll also get to sample the brilliant BSOP Millions experience, a tournament like no other in the world. Akkari will be there, as well as the globetrotting Chris Moneymaker and PokerStars Ambassador Bruce Buffer.
The Akkari’s Road To PSPC tournament will take place from December 3-5, 2019, and will have a R$1 million GTD prize pool (US$243,421), in addition to the Platinum Pass. Organisers are expecting more than 3,000 runners — a customary turnout for a poker tournament in this city.
And you don’t even have to pay the full buy-in. Satellites are running on PokerStars on three Sundays ahead of the event: November 10th, 17th and 24th. You’ll be able to find those on the PokerStars client nearer the time, and the buy-in is a mere $3.30.
