POLUNIN (1) made the perfect start to his career at Balaklava when racing away from his rivals after showing good early speed. Progressive type that's on his way through. MALDIVICA (6) hasn't been as effective in her last two when tackling tougher company. Better suited back to this level and does boast a solid record at this venue. One of the main threats. Stablemate BREAKFAST (5) was far from her best first-up on the slop in town. Wet again but she draws well again and gets in light with the 2kg claim. Can improve sharply. PRINCE LUCIFER (2) returns well shy of a preferred trip but if the tempo is genuine he can make his presence felt late.
