Verdict

PRESS EXPRESS (6) is the one to beat after turning consistent form into a decisive BM54 win at this track, beating Tee Galleria by just over two lengths despite racing wide. The rise to BM64 is the query, but she had already been close in BM58 grade and brings the best recent profile, with Billy Cray retaining a strong association. MR MARRAKECH (1) is the main danger, having run second at his past two starts and holding a strong record at this track and distance. Can threaten. BRAZEN BON (3) is better than the latest fifth suggests after being bumped early and wide in the early stages, and his second to If I Was You two back ties him into the right form. IF I WAS YOU (4) was beaten as a well-supported favourite last start, yet his BM70 effort two runs ago had merit and he stays in the mix as a minor chance.

    Verdict
Has now placed at both runs since resuming, most recently second at this track when beaten four and a half lengths by Galaxy General after working home evenly. His previous second behind Patriotic King was also sound, and the 1300m record reads strongly with three wins and five placings from 15 attempts. The win strike is the query, but he is reliable enough to be in the finish.

Failed to justify favouritism when third behind Galaxy General at this track last start, beaten just over five lengths after travelling handy and only working home evenly. Two back he was last in a BM70, but the margin was only two and a half lengths after being hampered and wide on the home turn. Has claims for a minor cheque if he finishes off more strongly.

    Verdict
Returned to winning form at this track last start, taking out a BM54 by just over two lengths from Tee Galleria despite racing wide. That followed a close third in BM58 grade behind Kessler when sent out favourite, so the recent form line has real substance. Rises in grade, but her current form and track-distance profile make her the one to beat.

    Verdict
Had genuine excuses when fifth to Galaxy General at this track last start, being bumped at the start and covering ground early before finishing six lengths away. The run prior was better, closing from rearward to be second behind If I Was You at generous odds. Blinkers come off; a placing looks within reach.

Jumped awkwardly and settled well back when fourth behind Galaxy General at this track last start, beaten five and a half lengths without threatening. The start prior was also messy and she was beaten over 11 lengths, so the recent form is only fair.

    Verdict
Resumes after three months off following a plain tenth in a BM70 at this track, beaten over 15 lengths after being tightened early and racing wide throughout. His previous seventh in Open grade was more competitive, but still left him short of the main chances.
