PROXIMA DEA (1) is a very talented filly, undefeated in five starts including a dominant win in the G1 Spring Champion at Randwick last start. She easily accounted for Stormy Marco there who came out and won the Derby on Saturday. Drawn wide but rolls forward and with any luck that form looks too good. DE ARMAS (4) has the right local platform, having won the G2 Wakeful Stakes on Derby Day as a well-supported favourite which is typically the best guide. 2500m looks to suit and she'll be charging late. ICELADY (2) was third in that same Wakeful and was attacked by a roughie on a hot speed, doing very well to stick on. 2500m a query but she gets every chance. QUICK FINISH (3) won the G3 Ethereal over a lot of her rivals then measured up very well in the Derby against the boys. Ticked the 2500m box there which counts for plenty, she'll take catching.
