Look to be three key chances here. SA visitor GLOUF (3) is closing in on a win after two consecutive minor placings, the latest when third over 1600m at Morphettville. Peak fitness now, which has him ready for this trip. SPICY APPLE (5) is close to a win after a string of minor placings, the latest when second over 2100m at Echuca when he was always up in the leading division. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. SPECKY BOY (4) turned in a much better effort last start when beaten only 1.3 lengths into second at Hamilton over 1600m. Among the top chances again over the extra ground. Bit of a gap to the rest, the best of whom might be AFFINEDEEL (1) who was out of the money when resuming over 1600m at Murtoa, beaten 5.5 lengths but will be better for that. Similar story with BOUCHEREIGN (2), a Highland Reel 5YO who took his time getting to the races and will be better for the debut outing.
