LONG ISLAND (5) has shown enough to suggest a maiden win is close after a solid runner-up finish at Ellerslie 2 starts back before failing to fire over 2100m at Te Rapa last time. Back in more suitable company and over a more favourable trip, she gets a great opportunity to break through. CALL ME A CAB (6) resumed with an encouraging effort at Te Aroha where she travelled into the race before fading late. She strips fitter for that outing and is capable of making sharp improvement especially from a superior gate. THE GIGGLER (7) is still learning but wasn't disgraced in her latest outing at Arawa Park. Further improvement can see her measure up against this field and she is worthy of each-way consideration. ESCAPE ROOM (1) took a step forward second-up at Cambridge Synthetic, making ground into sixth-place without threatening. From the inside draw she maps to enjoy a soft run and she can figure in the top 4 this time. CHEERFUL SMILE (8) loves it here, so don't risk her. Each way.
