BLONDMOON (4) went close to getting the job done at Hawera 2 weeks ago when finishing runner-up by a head, after some solid efforts through the winter on turf and poly tracks. She may need some luck from a tricky gate, but we think she can go one better. KODIAC BEAR (1) is very similar to the top pick after trying hard to win a race through his winter campaign, and with 4 second-place finishes in a row, he is either overdue, or just a non-winner. Hopefully for punters, he can break through soon. OUR TEST (2) is a lightly tried 5YO gelding, who has shown some talent in 3 career starts, including a fresh up second last prep. He resumes without a trial, which is a query for us, but in this field, he is worthy of each-way respect. BURNSIDE LASS (7) made a satisfactory debut when finishing third at New Plymouth just over 3 weeks ago, and she can continue to build off that run. Stick with her. ALL IN VALOUR (8) is fresh up off a recent trial win, so keep her very safe in an even contest.
