RANARSSON (8) was in control from the outset to score on debut over 1200m at this track three weeks ago. That was the performance of a horse who is capable of winning better races, so happy to stick with him. THE VOLTA (5) finished out of the money when fresh from a spell two starts back then she was always well out of her ground and was beaten 3 lengths when sixth in a 1200m contest at Pakenham Synthetic two weeks ago. Finds a suitable assignment and can take this out. JEWEL OF HEAVEN (4) was unplaced resuming over 1200m at Mornington, beaten 3 lengths, but this doesn't look as hard so she is a leading contender. AUBAINE (7) won at Ballarat Synthetic two starts ago but was below his best at a more recent appearance, finishing sixth over 1600m at Moe. Suitably placed so expecting a better run this time. EMPRESSIVE ENUFF (3) picked up from where he left off last prep, logging a third-straight third-place finish, and is a noted second-up performer.
