TROBRIAND (4) has been a good performer for a while, and he normally comes to hand quickly. He was given a recent quiet trial, and this is a nice target for a gelding of his quality, with the only query being it is his first run over 1000m. Can win. INSATIABLE (2) is a stablemate of the top pick who made more progress last season, and ended his last prep with a brace of wins here over 1200m. He has also trialled up, and if he doesn't need the run, he can give this a shake. EXPRESS COUP (3) missed out last start when finding 1400m again a touch too far for her. She is better suited to 1000m, and is worth another chance. MR FORTRUS (5) has won his last couple of starts on the poly track here in good fields, and he has been just as useful on the turf. Expect him to be competitive in this as well. MOVING MELODY (7) resumes from a spell for the first time for Terri Rae, and she cruised home to win a recent Timaru trial. Keep her very safe.
