Verdict

Only a small field, but looks to be a race in three. ZINOVATION (3) is hard to knock, winning on the flat two back before making the perfect jumps debut. He'll have taken good benefit from the experience and can improve again, which he will need to. FERAGO (1) did fairly well when he finished third in a at Sandown-Lakeside two runs back. Less effective last time, but that was back to the flat and he looks very hard to beat on his best jumps form on the home track. KARBURAN (2) did a reasonable job when he finished third in a hurdle (3500m) at Casterton two runs back. Less effective last time when 24 lengths away in fourth in The Australian Hurdle (3900m) at Sandown-Lakeside. Deserves another chance back in grade. Out to MASH AND GRAVY (5) as best of the other two. Pulled up in the race won by Zinovation last start. but had trialled well prior and can play more of a role here. CHEROKEE BRAVE (4) next because something has to run fifth.
