Verdict

HISTORY WON'T CARE (1) comes into this first-up but without a trial., though he did the same thing last campaign and closed strongly in what ended up being a strong form race. The wide draw is no issue and CJP's booking is a good push for his chances. Can resume with a bang. STRIDEAWAY (4) was 588 days between runs when first-up but ran a strong race, beaten 2.1L when closing nicely. Should be better for that effort and she is a second-up winner in the past. Likely to get back once again, but she can close off strongly now she's knocked the rust off. DELZEE (6) disappointed two back, but beat Strideaway last start when only 1.8L off the winner. Has stacks of upside and should get every chance from the outset. SATURDAY SESH (2) is better than he showed last start and can improve third-up. CABLE ROCK (5) is hard to knock on his recent form and can't be left out of calculations.

Resumes after three months off and has been readied with a solid second in a Lark Hill trial. His last campaign included third in the Listed Aquanita Stakes over 2000m at Belmont Park, albeit beaten six and a half lengths, before a fourth to Western Miss at Belmont. The 1200m record is the query, keeping him in the place mix.

Worked home well for third at Belmont Park first-up, beaten just over two lengths, and that effort carries extra merit after she had difficulty getting clear in the straight. She was also third in the Listed MAGIC MILLIONS WA 2YO CLASSIC at Pinjarra before the break. Good off a long break last start and he can raise the bar after knocking the rust off last time.

    Verdict
Returns from a lengthy spell and has had two trials, including a close second at Belmont Park, so there is some readiness in the set-up. His final run last campaign was a fifth in Open grade at Belmont Park, beaten just over half a length despite interference near the 200m. Past Open-grade form and track strength make him a live place chance.

    Verdict
Rebounded strongly at Belmont Park last start, finishing second to So Si God after settling close and picking up nicely, with Strideaway behind him in the same race. His prior 13th as favourite in a Class 3 had the excuse of racing keenly through the middle stages. Bounced back last start and with his progression, he makes plenty of appeal.

Continues to race honestly, leading and only being pipped late when second in a 1 Metro Win over 1400m at Belmont Park. That followed a Class 3 win over Polyvanova, so he brings genuine current form. Can work across from the draw and give them something to catch.

Can be forgiven to a point for his last placing at Kalgoorlie, where he raced wide throughout in a BM66+ and was beaten just over eight lengths. The run prior at Belmont Park was much sharper, fifth and beaten just over half a length after being hampered late. Can improve coming back in grade.

Returns from a lengthy spell with a solid 1200m profile and Clint Johnston-Porter back aboard, having placed in five of eight with this gelding. He ended last campaign with a fair seventh as favourite in a Class 5 at Northam, beaten a length and a half, after a slow-start, wide-run last at this track in BM66+ grade. No trial coming in, but he boasts a strong fresh record and a forward showing is on the cards.

Has been sound rather than sharp at his past two, finishing sixth at Northam in a Class 5 after covering ground and fifth at Bunbury in a Class 3 when making late inroads from well back. Has 1200m credentials, but must find a sharper finish.

Returns from a lengthy spell after ending last campaign with two plain sevenths, the latest at Albany when beaten just over six lengths in a BM66+. She has trialled twice, including a latest third at Lark Hill, and has won at both this track and the distance. Others bring stronger recent claims.

Has not threatened at recent runs, finishing sixth in a BM66+ at Belmont Park at long odds after giving away a start and working home fairly. He also began slowly at Bunbury two back and was only tenth, though held up late. The class drop helps, but he is a rough place chance only.

Was not beaten far first-up at Belmont Park, finishing fifth of six and just over a length from Anaballistic after being bumped near the 250m. Her previous run before the break was another fifth at this venue at long odds. Has track form, but the winning case is still thin.

Arrives off consecutive BM56+ wins at Moora and Carnarvon, most recently beating Weapons Hot by just over a length after travelling well. That is winning form, but it came in country company and he now faces a much harder meeting. Looking elsewhere.

Began slowly and never made an impression when eighth at Bunbury first-up, beaten just over eight lengths and unwanted in the market. Her prior run at Pinjarra was even weaker, last and beaten over 16 lengths in a BM44+. Claim helps, but she looks up against it.
