Four-year-old mare BAILS (6) is back from a six-month spell for a second preparation. Showed staying promise when last in work, highlighted by a last-to-first win in a Class 1 over 2000m at this track. This looks an ideal assignment to launch the new campaign. FIVE RINGS (3) came from last to score over a similar trip to this on the Gold Coast poly two back. Couldn't pick up last time in heavy going at Coffs Harbour but a step back in distance may have been partially to blame. Deserves another chance. SINATRA (5) tackled a Class 1 over this course and distance in heavy going recently and reversed some poor form with a dogged victory. Finds a similar set-up today so he must go into the numbers. AUTUMN MISS (9) hasn't won for a long while but is worth keeping in mind after Matt Dunn has given her a five-week freshen. FLYING BAT (1) went straight to the front and was never in doubt at Beaudesert when he last appeared a month ago. Should give them something to catch.
