Beaten less than 1.5 lengths and only a neck the two runs prior in races that probably had a little more depth than this. DRUNKEN SAILOR (7) finished out of the money two starts back then he was always well out of his ground and was beaten 6 lengths when ninth over 1400m at Mildura a week-and-a-half ago. Finds a more suitable contest and can get the job done from a favourable alley. BAKERSBEND (1) has form around Drunken Sailor and while he finds it hard to win, with only one victory from 12 starts, he'll be nearing peak fitness now after three runs back. HIDDEN WITNESS (12) bumped into a handy one last start, which made it three seconds in a row this prep. Clearly going well enough, but will need luck from the draw. SAVETHEBESTTILLAST (6) also has a wide draw to overcome but is racing too consistently to discount.
