NAKED LIGHT (4) made significant late ground last start to get up for third over 1000m at Bendigo in a race won by the classy Semantics. Getting within 3-1/4 lengths of her looks good form for a race like this. CHANDLER (2) is a Paddy Payne first starter who comes here off a trial win, which hints at a big debut showing. CAPITAL CHARLIE (1) is a 4YO who's taken time getting to the races, but a second and win at last two jumpouts show why connections have persisted. GOLDE 'N' FIRE (14) is one of the more interesting runners of the meeting. A 7YO former South Australian mare who's placed just once from 12 starts, but now bobs up with Mick Price and Michael Kent Jr, who have got her to win a couple of trials in preparation for this. Keep a very close eye on the market. OTTALAUS (5) is yet to break through after seven starts but is not far off a win. Placed two back then missed the frame but was thereabouts last time over 1000m at Tatura but gets blinkers here.
