Hard to go past LEVERAGED BUYOUT (7) who was runner-up in the Alice Springs Cup at this trip three back. Has been building back up to this trip in the two runs since, the latest crushing most of these with a five-length win over a mile. Extra trip a plus and is the one to beat. MALDINI (8) was in the wake of Levered Buyout last time but was fresh and having his first run in the NT. Looks suited by the extra ground and will be further improved by the experience. HOPELESS ROMANTIC (6) was fifth in the same race. Has upside and is drawn much better this time. Blinkers have been added and can give a sight. GRINZINGER TUNDRA (5) has been going well, the latest runner-up over a mile here behind Garrix. Blinkers added and can give sight despite the draw. MERIMBULA (9) is suited by the extra ground and can improve sharply.
