BARCELO (3) had been racing well and deserved his win last start over 1840m at this track. Steps up to Saturday company and is untried beyond 1900m but the numbers say he is up to the task. Lightly raced four-year-old BON RIVIERE (9) turned for home next to last then closed strongly to grab second behind Barcelo in an eye-catching performance over 1840m here last time out. Meets him a huge 6kgs better off for a 1.5 length defeat. Great shot at turning the tables. Bold front-runner BENZINO (2) scored over 2020m four back at Doomben. Three subsequent runs in the 2200-2400m range have seen him lead for home before being claimed late. Sure to run them along and give a great sight again. SOCIAL OUTCAST (1) showed a glimpse of form last start over 1815m at this track. Probably looking for a staying trip now so worth another chance. THINKING GOLD (4) hasn't been far away at all three runs this time in work. Blinkers off for a staying test fourth-up looks positive.
