Provincial maidens don't come any weaker than this. BLAZING STATEMENT (2) led for the judge but couldn't maintain the pressure and dropped out at the end of 1400m at Newcastle last start. Should appreciate a bit less pressure today and can easily turn things around. MISS BINMAN (7) has started at triple-figure odds and raced accordingly in her two runs this time in work. Draws a nice gate and gets in well after the claim so a better run is on the cards. ZENMODE (8) showed pace but tired on debut recently over 1400m at Newcastle. Can do better with that race experience on board. BATTLE SCARS (1) is a chance if he can recapture the form from two back when third over 1400m at Taree. MILCHEL (4) is back for a second campaign. Might be the big improver with blinkers applied for the first time.
