LANGAN (9) first up for his third prep he bounced out from the wide gate to get the Maiden win out of the way in good style over 1100m at Beaudesert. Since fitted with a 1000m trial placing at the Gold Coast. Can overcome the wide draw and go on with it. LUDIK (4) drifted well out of his ground before balancing up in the straight with a solid third over 1350m at Ipswich. Will appreciate the 3kg claimer and a repeat effort keeps him in the mix. ZOUTHUR (2) was in the firing line again second up with a tough on speed third over 1050m at the Gold Coast Poly. Awkward map today and place claims look best. ICEWATER (11) comes back in trip from a low draw and can race closer to the speed on his home track. Best runs have been at this course and stays in the calculations. STARRY JACK (1) has found a bit of form and gets weight relief again.
