COMMANDO JACK (3) is the one to beat after missing by a head at Forbes last week as a short odds-on favourite, travelling well before being narrowly denied by Jade Division. His earlier BM58 failure at Mudgee was plain, but he has three wins around 1300m, handles wet ground and brings the strongest recent rating into this BM50. MS REEVES (8) is the clear danger after finishing third at Forbes, beaten just over half a length, and she also has the useful line of having beaten Loud there last week. LOUD (15) has not been winning, yet she was only beaten just over two lengths in that same Forbes race. Owns a win from three starts at this track and handles wet tracks well. COMMANDER MEROO (2) comes back from BM58 company after catching the eye late at Taree, and his 1300m record keeps him firmly in the winning discussion despite the gap between wins.
