Messy race on paper with the bulk of the field resuming. SKYHOOK (6) underrated entire resuming with the ability to overcome the wide gate. Put his rivals to the sword with a slick winner of the G3 Gunsynd over 1600m on heavy track last June. Primed with the two trials and expected to go close. VERONA ROSE (7) good fresh mare proven at this level. Won the Guy Walter last February and returns with just the one trial over 742m. Will get back in the run and look for a Zac Lloyd special. ENCAP (9) yet to win first up but looks to have returned with much more purpose after the two solid trials. Has been heavily supported since markets first went up and not without top four prospects. MIDNIGHT IN TOKYO (5) took control early with residual fitness on her side for a gritty win in the G3 Show County Quality over 1200m at Randwick. That form has since been franked and goes just as well at this trip. LORD OF BISCAY (13) can run a big race fresh on the limit.
