AURA (9) resumed over 1550m at the Kensington track last start and caught the eye in the closing stages, closing nicely for third in a promising return. Beaten just half a length in a Saturday BM74 over 2000m at Caulfield last prep which is excellent form for a race like this. Finds an ideal second-up assignment. TRIPTOLEMUS (5) has led all the way to win three in a row in southern NSW, the latest in comfortable style in a BM82 over the Corowa mile. Goes extra well for Keatings who keeps the ride. Should cope with this lot and will run another bold race. STANDARD DEVIATION (7) has been handy in the run and boxed on fairly at his last couple, both over 1900m at Canterbury. Waller throws Nash on this time. Can win if at his best. SAVAGRAM (8) comes here off a couple of black-type appearances, the pick of them two back when a close fourth in the Up And Coming over 1300m. Bred to want this trip. SAVVY SPY (10) is fitter for two runs back and is a lightweight hope.
