Verdict

We kick off Caulfield Cup day with the key pointer to the Derby. Most come through the Super Impose and CIGNETTI (3) might be best set up out of those. He stuck on well on heavy ground there and should get every chance on speed from barrier one which will suit around here. VALLICE (2) was the best run in the Super Impose when closing off nicely for second, well backed there too. 2000m should suit nicely but he likely gives them a headstart again. LEPOLO (1) started favourite at Flemington but dropped right out. He beat an unlucky Cignetti easily prior and can bounce back on firm going. SKUA (5) kept trying in the Super Impose and looks as if the further they go the better, he'll stay well. ARAGOG (4) was fifth there and is right in the mix again.
