CAVALRY GIRL (2) has been up a while but if she brings her recent form she should have these covered. She won three on the bounce impressively before starting single figures in a G1 Moir Stakes last start and running a very game second to My Gladiola, beaten a long neck. Multiple G1 winners in behind her there and she'll be awfully hard to catch. GALLANT SON (3) didn't fire in the G1 Manikato Stakes fresh when caught wide and unable to cross. Back to 1000m is interesting but he's a speedy horse - third in an Oakleigh Plate last campaign attests to that. BEV'S NINE (5) and PALLATON (6) tackled a BM100 here last time which Pallaton won. Bev's Nine meets him 3kg better off and is unbeaten over 1000m. HIDDEN MOTIVE (8) was beaten by a handy one in Sydney last time and is in the mix with no weight.

The start before that tracked the speed and boxed on steadily; won by 0.5 len in the G3 Carlyon Stakes at Sandown-Hillside on August 22 over 1000m in heavy going defeating Bazaball Rewarded carrying 56kg at $2.30. Flying and this is much easier, should be too quick.
