Competitive race. ZOU SENSATION (6) had lost his way a bit but looked back on track off a short break at Flemington in the Paris Lane on heavy ground, held up a touch but boxing on well for third. His best form is Caulfield 1400m on a dry deck which he gets here, he can potentially cross to lead and give a huge sight at odds. PRIVATE EYE (1) continues to race well. The good track was blamed two back yet he was fine on it last time in the G2 Shannon Stakes behind Skyhook which is strong form. Second to Cosmic Crusader here fresh would just about win this. WAR MACHINE (2) was never on the track in the Rupert Clarke here second up, queries on where he's at but his best as a Stradbroke winner has to be respected. AMENABLE (9) has been rock solid in two runs for the Begg yard and has solid claims. HUGHES (4) resumes, he does hold the track record around here if you don't mind!
