Verdict

Interesting race with formlines tying in. POWER OF SUCCESS (4) finished a long neck off Whatjeudoin' at Doomben last time after leading them up. Goes up 2kgs with the apprentice getting taken off for Thompson. The untried 2443m is the query but he's sure to give a sight. AYASAKI (5) split the two already mentioned, only beaten a nose, and just under a length by Cigar Man at this track before that. Distance won't be an issue and the draw will see him play a stalking role. WHATJEUDOIN' (2) was too strong for them last time and will get a tempo to suit. Graham just has to make sure they aren't too far ahead when straightening. DRACENA (3) brings different form and is knocking on the door. This is her first try at the distance but the tempo should suit and she can be coming off their backs late.

Worked home fairly for fourth at Gold Coast last start, beaten a length and a half on soft ground after being near the top of betting. She had earlier made good ground for fourth at this track over 2200m after beginning slowly, so the recent form is honest. First try at 2443m, but she is a genuine hope.

    Verdict
Ran a sound fourth at Doomben last start, beaten only half a length by Whatjeudoin' after being well found in betting. That followed a BM60 win at Dalby where he beat Victory Command by just over a length and did it with a little in hand. New trip is the query Thompson should give him every chance in front.

    Verdict
Bounced back at Doomben last start, winning by a nose over 2240m from Ayasaki and also turning the tables on Power Of Success. The run prior is the caution, as he was sent out favourite in a BM62 at this track but finished seventh after racing keenly and wide. Watch for him coming off their backs and trying to repeat the dose.

    Verdict
Lifted strongly at this venue last start, winning a BM62 over the staying trip by just under a length and beating Ayasaki after being near the top of an open market. His previous Sunshine Coast eighth in BM65 company was plain, though he raced wide throughout. Rises from BM62 level, but the claim helps and he stays in the mix.

    Verdict
Has put together two strong seconds, most recently beaten a nose by Whatjeudoin' at Doomben when starting at generous odds. Before that he was second to Cigar Man in a BM62 at this venue on soft ground, beaten just under a length despite being hampered at the start. Drawn to play the stalking role and can pounce on them.

    Verdict
Produced a big BM58 win at Kilcoy last start, beating Hell Of A Prince by just over eight lengths after kicking strongly from the turn. That came only five days after a Gatton fourth at big odds, where he was beaten just under two lengths after being wide from the 600m. Tougher BM68 test, but he can run into the placings.

    Verdict
Placed at Gold Coast Poly last week in BM60 company, finishing third and beaten just under four lengths after jumping awkwardly and being restrained early. The previous Sunshine Coast ninth was plain, beaten six and a half lengths at long odds. This looks to rich for her.
