TIGER TURF (13) gets the nod on the strength of his overall profile, with last start at Warwick Farm easier to assess kindly after he was checked on the home turn and still finished only beaten four and a half lengths in metro company. His Newcastle third two back gives him a solid platform, and he's very attractive coming back to country grade. SCOOP THE POOL (6) resumes as the main danger after ending last preparation with a Hawkesbury third and a Newcastle second, both on soft ground, and two trials since last racing suggest he is forward enough to run well fresh. KISS OF GOLD (9) has been close up in successive fourths, including a two-length defeat at this track, and her wet-track placing record keeps her firmly in the mix. MOORDYUP (10) was below market expectations first-up at Kembla, but her Hawkesbury placing before the break reads well enough for improvement second-up. MOROSINI (14) can improve on the fresh effort.

Returns from a lengthy spell with two trials since last racing, including a close second at Randwick, which is a useful fitness pointer. Ended last preparation with a third at Hawkesbury, beaten a length and a half by Donatello in provincial company, after a Newcastle second behind Decalogue. Can resume on a positive note if his recent trials are anything to go by.

Drops back from metro company after finishing last at Warwick Farm, but he was checked on the home turn and was only beaten four and a half lengths by True Tone. His Newcastle third two back behind Federalist was sound, and he has placed twice from three runs at this distance. Right back in grade now and he can put his best foot forward.

Has been honest without winning, finishing fourth at this track last start, beaten two lengths by Imperial Royale after jumping awkwardly and failing to quicken. She had earlier worked home nicely for fourth at Tuncurry when close in the market. Looks suited by the rise in trip now and she can make an impression.

Makes his debut with three trials behind him, the latest a second at Hawkesbury, so there is at least a recent public guide to his readiness. He also trialled fifth at Hawkesbury before a wider-margin Rosehill result. Race-day evidence is missing, so market watch advised.

Was last on debut at Illawarra Grange, beaten over 13 lengths after moving into a handy spot before weakening and being eased down late. She gets 2kg weight relief and first-time blinkers, which may help spark improvement, while her $100,000 yearling profile and Waterhouse-Bott polish give some upside. Stable profile gives upside, but the race form must improve.

Had excuses at Newcastle last start after being bumped at the start, racing keenly and covering ground before finishing seventh, beaten seven and a half lengths. She was also hampered in the run prior when fifth, so the bare form may not tell the full story. Still has to turn those excuses into a result.

Resumed with a fifth at Goulburn over 1200m on soft ground, beaten five and a half lengths after picking up fairly from the back. His previous run before the break was a plain seventh at Wagga Riverside over 1675m. Improvement required at 1400m.

Finished sixth at this track first-up, beaten just over six lengths by Imperial Royale after settling well back and failing to make ground, with Kiss Of Gold ahead of her from the same race. Her debut at Kembla was also plain, beaten over 12 lengths after being bumped. Drawn better, but the 1400m test and plain form are hurdles.

Returns from a three-month break after finishing sixth on debut at Canberra Acton, beaten just over six lengths by Kip Star after settling rearward and never getting into the race. He was at long odds there and has not raced at around 1400m before. Untested at 1400m and likely to require marked improvement.

Eases from provincial company after being beaten out of sight in a Class 1 at Kembla Grange, where he raced wide throughout but still finished a long way from Criteria. Two back he was second last over 1600m and again offered little from the rear. Must lift a long way.

Was beaten over 15 lengths at Moruya last start, with the stewards noting he raced wide throughout, but he was gone soon after straightening and started big odds. His prior run at this venue was also a last placing in a small field. Wide last time, but the recent figures remain hard to support.

Finished last at Moruya over 1200m, beaten nine and a half lengths after settling rearward and making no impression late. The start prior was a better seventh at this track, where he came from well back, but he was unwanted in the market there as well. The claim helps, but he has to improve sharply at the new trip.

Kept finding after a slow start when third at Moruya over 1650m on soft ground, beaten just under four lengths by Reveillon as one of the better-backed runners. Her Canberra sixth before that was sound enough, beaten two and a half lengths after tracking the speed and working home evenly. Can play a leading role coming back in trip.
