Keen to see the speedy Tasmanian mare SWIFT FORCE (8) resume. She measured up well in Victoria here with a dominant all the way win under Newitt then bolted on the apprentice up to 1200m as the $1.50 favourite, going way too fast in front but sticking on gamely for fourth. Newitt goes back on and she can prove very hard to run down. TRES MAGNIFIQUE (10) has just found one better in both starts this time in over 1000m. Stepping beyond that specialist trip has brought her undone to date but she'll loom up at some point. KING TUT (6) resumes. Where he gets to on the map is the query but he did some nice things last time in and will be charging home. VERDOUX (2) was just fair fresh but can improve and is right up to these on his best form last campaign.
