INZAIN DRAGON (3) goes on top again after a close third here as a well-supported favourite on debut last time. He raced keenly early and still showed plenty of grit to get as close as he did, so natural improvement second-up gives him a strong winning profile. TURBO COW (7) was disappointing at Eagle Farm as favourite on the back of encouraging trial form. The subsequent form out of the race has been ref-hot however, so willing to forgive. THE GREY ONE (4) is the key first-starter, shouldering a neat little price tag as a son of Profiteer. Has shown improvement at the trials and any market support should be respected. ANDER'S DREAM (14) has been well beaten at her past two but this looks a touch easier and she she gets some weight relief and easier. Keeping safe for a minor spot. THINKER (16) only warmed late in her stable debut and should be better over further.

Was well found on debut at Eagle Farm but finished eighth, beaten just over seven lengths behind Graffitude after racing handy and coming under pressure late. That market confidence and his earlier trial wins suggest more than he showed first time out, while Archie McColm's 3kg claim is a practical advantage. Better for the experience, he remains a strong winning chance. Definitely worth forgiving.

Made a very encouraging debut when third at this track over 1000m, beaten just under a length by Bodmin Moor after being well supported as favourite. He raced keenly early yet was still right there late, which gives the run substance. New to 1200m, but improvement makes him the clear top hope.

    Verdict
Starts his career for Michael Freedman after winning a recent Gold Coast trial, and that is a clean enough pointer for a first-starter in this grade. He was a $120,000 yearling purchase and the stable's debut figures are solid, so the profile is stronger than most unraced runners here. Looks a genuine first-up threat.

Had genuine interference last start at this track, beginning slowly and then being checked near the 150m when fourth behind Bodmin Moor, beaten just under a length. That makes the run better than the result reads, and he is fitter again third-up. Fitter third-up and can run well, with the trip still a query.

Comes out of country grade and faces a harder meeting after finishing seventh at Ballina as a well-supported favourite, beaten just under five lengths but picking up nicely from the back. Her Coffs fourth two starts ago was sound, beaten just under two lengths, yet she remains winless from five. Fitter now, but still winless and unplaced at 1200m.

    Verdict
Debuts with three trials behind him, the latest a close second at Gold Coast over 1000m, so there is at least some readiness in the profile. Paul Shailer has a sound debut record from the figures supplied, but this gelding still has to produce it under race pressure from barrier 10. Some readiness there, but race experience is the query.

Makes his debut off one Beaudesert trial last month, where he finished fifth, and the evidence is thinner than a few other newcomers in the field. Pedigree has winners, but others bring stronger evidence.

    Verdict
Has been honest with consecutive thirds at Kilcoy and Warwick, both times near the top of betting and beaten just over two lengths. The issue is that she remains a 14-start maiden, is unplaced in two runs at this track and has missed a place in all six wet-track starts. Her distance record is solid for placings, but winning remains a difficult assignment. Keeping safe in the minors.

Drops out of a Class B after finishing fifth at Tara, beaten just under three lengths as favourite, with the stewards noting he lost gear near the 200m and then laid out. He also kept on fairly at Warwick two starts ago. Wet-track record keeps him to place claims.

Showed improvement when fourth at this track over 1000m, beaten three and a half lengths by Zoureka after being steadied approaching the 800m. That was better than her debut at Doomben, where she was last and unwanted in the market. Still has ground to make up on exposed form.

Finished fifth at Gatton last start, beaten four and a half lengths after settling well back and closing off strongly from an awkward position. That was a much better effort than her Pakenham Synthetic run, where she was last and beaten over 16 lengths. The 1200m record makes her a place rather than win play.

Comes back from mid-week company after finishing fifth at Eagle Farm, beaten just under ten lengths by Win Star in a small field where she raced keenly. Her Ipswich run prior was also plain, but today's set-up is kinder through weight relief and she is race fit. Capable of rebounding.

Returns from a lengthy spell after ending her last preparation with a seventh at Ballina, beaten nine and a half lengths, when unwanted in the market. She had also been second last at Beaudesert, beaten over 14 lengths after beginning slowly. The claim helps only slightly.

Worked into the race and held second at Sunshine Coast over 1400m last start, beaten just under four lengths by Castaway. That was a clear step in the right direction after a plain seventh at Kembla Grange, where she was big odds and blundered soon after the start. The 1200m record keeps her more a place hope.

Returns from a one-month let-up after finishing last on debut at Beaudesert, beaten over 15 lengths after settling rearward and losing touch before the turn. She was unwanted in the market there and had no obvious excuse in the run. Has to find a lot more.
