Verdict

AWAYGOESTHEBUNNY (3) can be forgiven for one poor run on the Poly last time when a beaten favourite. His form prior reads strongly and expecting the rise in trip to suit him perfectly now under the lightweight of McColm's claim. CHAYSE 'N' ARTIE (1) deserves respect after a brave third at this track on soft ground, beaten a length and a half in BM70 company. Is right at home at this distance and the 3kg claim helps him carry the topweight more comfortably. THINKHARDANDFAST (2) has been plain at her last two, yet she has won around this trip and her overall record says she is capable of better. LA ROSETTA (4) has to rebound from a poor performance here last time when well below her best. Her Sunshine Coast BM70 win two back and a previous win around 1800m give her a genuine platform for improvement. OUT OF LUCK (5) is shooting for the hat-trick on the quick back-up and gets in light with the rise in grade. Not dismissing.

Backs up quickly after finishing third as favourite in a BM70 at Gold Coast Poly, beaten four and a half lengths by Italian Dancer after racing keenly through the middle stages. The run prior at this track was sound enough when fourth on soft ground behind Little Beginnings. Expecting a sharp bounce back on the turf.

    Verdict
Arrives in winning form after taking a Class 4 at this track by a long neck from Sir Beveridge, then backing up a narrow BM68 win at Sunshine Coast over 1600m. Both wins came by small margins, but he was near the top of an open market last start and delivered. Honest and race-fit, though the 1800m still has to be fully proven.

Led them up in a BM70 at Toowoomba last start but tired late and finished eighth, beaten seven and a half lengths by Bluepinot. Her previous sixth in a Class 6 at this venue was also only fair, with the market treating her as an outside chance. A place is the more realistic aim.

    Verdict
Was last at this track in a FM BM78 last start, beaten ten lengths by Ratenotice after settling well back and making no impression. That was a sharp contrast to her BM70 win at Sunshine Coast two back, where she worked home from the rear to beat Seneschal by a nose. Proven at 1800m and can bounce back into a placing.

    Verdict
Went close in a BM70 at this track last start, moving into it on the turn and sticking on for third, beaten a length and a half by Brain Wave on soft ground. His BM85 run at Eagle Farm prior was plain after beginning awkwardly, but this sets up far better. With the 3kg claim, he looks the right horse to beat.

    Verdict
Had some excuses when sixth in a BM70 at Sunshine Coast last start, racing keenly early and being hampered near the 400m before finishing moderately. His previous second in a BM78 at Eagle Farm was much better, beaten just over half a length by Becamo after being held up late. Eagle Farm second two back gives him an each-way angle.

    Verdict
Has struggled in two runs this campaign, finishing second last in a BM70 at Sunshine Coast at long odds after making no impression. He was also safely held at this venue two back, beaten just over six lengths behind Little Beginnings. Weight relief helps, but he has plenty to turn around.
