DJIBOUTI (9) backed up solid placed form when loomed on the turn from midfield and got home best at Te Aroha over 2200m last time. Will take beating over 2200m here. SHAMWARI (1) ran on nicely from beyond midfield when fresh then worked outside the leader and faded, both on the synthetic. Up to 1800m and back on turf for a bold all the way win at New Plymouth last month. Danger here. CHOREOMANIA (7) brave win from outside the leader over 2100m at Tauranga then fought on well after trailing the leader when 1L 3rd to Eliud in a driving finish at Te Rapa. Respect here. VICTOR TANGO (2) good efforts going up in trip each start this prep with a good late run for 2L 4th over 1400m and same again over 1600m last time. Big jump to 2200m here but looks like he'll get it. PURE BARS (5) led and fought back strongly for 1L 3rd to Sweet But Psycho over 2100m last start. Place claims best here.
